ECPI University Receives Workforce Innovation AwardSunTrust Bank Vice President Mark Johnson presents the Opportunity Inc. Workforce Innovation Award to ECPI University President Mark Dreyfus.

During its annual Workforce Development Meeting, Opportunity Inc. presented ECPI University with its Workforce Innovation Award, recognizing ECPI University’s commitment to workforce development and its impact on the Hampton Roads, Virginia economy.  “As the Regional Convener for Workforce Development in South and Western Hampton Roads, Opportunity Inc. remains committed to providing workforce solutions designed to grow talent and connect job seekers with opportunities,” said Shawn Avery, President & CEO, Opportunity Inc.  “We are pleased to celebrate the work of our government, education, and community partners who labor with us to ensure meaningful employment, and economic growth and vitality for our region.”

Established by the Hampton Roads Workforce Development Board, Opportunity Inc. oversees federally funded workforce development programs for South and Western Hampton Roads.  Opportunity Inc. provides strategic workforce development solutions designed to assist businesses in accessing qualified workers and jobseekers in search of suitable job openings and training opportunities to bolster their earning potential.
